Abstract:
Liposarcoma is a malignant tumor of mesenchymal origin, differentiated from adipose tissue; it represents the most common tumor type of retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcomas. The paper presents a 64 years old male patient, presented with palpable right abdominal mass and pain. Abdominal ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT) have confirmed the existence and size of the tumor with inhomogeneous structure. Laboratory common findings and tumoral markers were normal. The diagnosis was difficult, intraoperatively shaped: giant well-differentiated retroperitoneal liposarcoma that weighted 9.000g.
